Opera in Victoria     (Gonzo Writeup)

The opera (Mozart's Don Giovanni) was a hit

At least 4 really good voices (especially Don Giovanni and Zerlina) and amazing set design and lighting. The theatre was a nice size, and I had front row balcony seats. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Friday. I spent the morning in a funky little cafe (Beacon Hill), then off to the Royal Museum for the Titanic display and a brand-new First Nations display including Tsimshian treasures. I really enjoyed the tools, masks and totem poles. I was never a fan of totem poles, but now that I have some background, they start to make sense.

Finished the day and trip at Becky's.

Saturday morning, it was off to the airport and an easy rise home.

Trip done.

Next year....Cuba
